Offered for sale is my dark bay mare T.t. She is 15.2hh an I.D x T.B, with good conformation (working hunter type build), age 15. She is fully up to date with vaccines, worming, dentist and back. She has been barefoot for over a year now, and her Equine Podiatrist says she has very good feet. She is a 'low maintenance' horse; being a good doer, lives out, and has not required any veterinary attention in the two years she has been my partner.

T is innately a typical LBI, and is currently playing level 1/2 of the Parelli programme. We play on the 22 foot line, on which she plays the seven games and some patterns with a good understanding. She yields nice and lightly, and is happy bareback/pad or saddled. She has the basics of natural ridden work going/stopping from 'energy', direct/indirect rein, backing, and of course disengaging.

I originally purchased T in May 20008, I was still 'traditional' then in my horse life, but due to a nasty fall off a young horse resulting in a fractured coccyx, resulted in me being an extremely nervous rider. My search for a 'bombproof' horse that i thought existed then, took me to view many horses. T was very steady, ridden on a loose rein, good in traffic, and not spooky or sharp, so a safe purchase. I purchased T purely as a pleasure horse for hacking, so she was very suitable. That said my nerves had taken a bigger blow than i thought, so i did the usual 'traditional' line of thinking; lunging her to loose fizz (although the fizz was in my mind!) so getting physically fitter, but emotionally and mentally switching her off - obviously i know that now, but didn't at the time. I always strived for something deeper with my horse, but wasn't sure how to get it. Then i went to The British Open in 2009, and my friend and i sat the entire day mesmerised in the Parelli Zone. Bingo - that was exactly what i wanted, and i got the starter kit! Got home, carrot stick blazing, and swiftly got rid of all my other gadgets and gizmo's that had given me false hope, safety and trust. To have gone from where i was at (nervous wreck) to being on a horse bareback and bridle less really is a testament to the Parelli programme (and the support of a wonderful friend who has held my hand along the way)
So, why i am selling her you ask? Earlier this year i purchased a foal, a blank canvas to play with, and eventually ride. A couple of months later i discover I'm pregnant...a 'surprise' pregnancy. I am already a mother of two, one of whom has special needs, so my time and attention available is limited. I am not riding now i am pregnant, so have based my decision around that fact. I can continue to play with my youngster on the ground until I'm ready to resume my riding. So I have had to make a 'head over heart decision' and concluded that the best solution would be to let T go to a new home now to continue her journey, and be ridden too.

I will only sell T to a natural home, Parelli or otherwise. She appears aloof, but is actually a sensitive mare, who appreciates equally light and sensitive hands. Therefore in Parelli terms, I think a partner of a level 2/3 savvy would be favourable .If you think T may be the partner for you, then drop me an email, or call so we can discuss the possibility. I have the space and toys for you to come and have a play and get a feel of her. Please understand that this is a difficult sale, so no day trippers please. I am asking £2,500 for T, based on her condition, ability etc I will also be selling by separate sale her brand new bespoke saddle (very comfortable) and rugs (should the intention be to clip her out in winter).
